Here I would like to see some "editorial" content. How do our features compare to others?
This is where new features being developed and only in CVS are documented. When the CVS becomes RC/official release, the info in the CVS docs is transferred to update the official docs (FeatureXDoc).
Where ideas can be exchanged, debated, etc. Interested people can subscribe to the wiki page and/or to these forums as they would a mailing list.

XFormsPlayer is almost at 1.0 status. It's a client
solution which is really required for this all to work
correctly.
So this is the IE solution. There is still no Mozilla
solution in sight.
From what I can tell, Tiki is mostly owned by "mose" but
various developers are responsible for different parts of
the system. Moving to XForms will require training and
quite a lot of code changes.

I like Chiba. As far as I know, Chiba leverages existing
browsers as much as possible and implements as much of the
xforms spec as it can on the server. There is no way that all
of xforms can be implemented on the server, however.
Can someone explain what xforms has to offer Tiki Wiki?
Forms are used for admin tasks, trackers, wiki pages, forum
posts, comments, etc., so obviously Tiki uses forms. What
would xforms add?
I don't understand why this item is assigned to me, though.
Did I mistakenly do that? I don't have time to develop on Tiki
unfortunately.

Keeping up with xforms is one of my hobbies too. The state
of xforms on the browser is still pretty pathetic.
I don't think IE will ever support xforms out of the box.
Maybe I'm wrong. I hope I am. I'm still waiting for
Mozilla to support it, there doesn't seem to be a lot of
progress there. It seems to take Mozilla for ever to do
anything beyond making the browser faster or moving menus
around. After all, it's a free project.
In my opinion, Tiki should not require a plug-in or special
server software beyond the latest version of PHP in order to
function properly. Tiki should only support the latest
versions of and Mozilla out of the box, and even "latest
version" is somewhat troubling.

The article "Ten Favorite XForms Engines"
(http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2003/09/10/xforms.html) gives
me the impression that the standard is ready to be used.
It shows how the popular browsers can use this GUI
technique.
