I agree for most of the points. Some details:
For quizzes, I don't agree. I know some people (doctors in occupational health) who wants to use tiki for e_learning.
For polls, it can be useful (for an editorial team, do you prefer this picture ?)
For the textarea size, you have the buttoms to enlarge height (and for some style to enlarge width) - I know it is not the best
For XMLRPC, some part are using it XmlrpcApi
Tiki will do that one day. But it is a slow process. The developpers work for free mainly. If you want to contribute, it will speed up tiki and the quality.
