Hi Paul,

More than likely the slowdown is caused by the caching mechanism of Tiki. If you specify a link between square brackets *without* the nocache parameter, Tiki will download the content of the external link for offline browsing. Depending on the site, connection speed and number of cached links this can seriously slow down Tiki. I would strongly advise you to always add the nocache parameter when defining external links. There is also an option in the Administration panel where you can completely disable any caching.
