Zero-size Temp Files

Tiki creates several zero-size temp file (in /tmp in Linux; in the \ directory in Windows) each and every time a request is received. These temp files appear never to be deleted. (I installed 1.6.1 to compare, and noticed that it does not create these temp files.)

Is this a known problem, or am I doing something wrong?

Yes this is a known problem and according to a member who posted in the Shoutbox today this is the reason:

zwoop, 00:16, Sat 06 of Sep, 2003: Found the reason for all the files in /tmp. For every request, it calls tempnam() to find which /tmp to use, but never cleans up the file...

Regards,

Pat.
