New User Group

I have installed TikiWiki 1.9.5 on a Gentoo Linux install, Apache is running Virtual Hosts to allow for a blog server and a wiki server at different hostnames.

I have found TikiWiki relatively easy to configure, but have run into an issue. I created a new Group called "Wiki_Editors", and I want to allow additional access to rename, delete and rollback wiki entries to these users.

I created the group, and clicked on the key icon for permissions, but when I select the permissions and hit update I end up receiving the error message

You do not have permission to use this feature

Go back

Return to home page

and I have been logged out. The URL of the page is

/tiki-assignpermission.php?find=&type=&group=Wiki_Editors&offset=0&sort_mode=type_asc&advanced_features=y

I have downgraded to 1.9.4 and have the same problem, so I went back to 1.9.5.

I looked at the tiki-assignpermissions.php versus tiki-assignuser.php (which works for me) and they seem to have the same tests at the top.

I also output the $user and $tiki_p_admin variables as part of the error message and $user is empty and $tiki_p_admin = 'n'.

Any help appreciated.

You need tiki_p_admin perm to assign perm
So either you log in as the user admin - he has special perm, either you checke one og the group you are in has the tiki_p_admin perm
(if $user is empty it means you are not logged in?)

Yes I have added my normal user to the Admin group which has the tiki_p_admin permission. I have also tried this with the Admin user. It did not work for that user either.

Yes, I was logged in but when I click update on tiki-assignpermissions.php I get logged out and therefore TikiWiki tells me I don't have permission to edit the groups.

My problem is it logs me out when I click update on that page. No other page. I created a group, I removed permissions from the default Registered group. But I cannot add add permissions to a group.
