    I am having a problem with translating menus using the 'Edit languages' table. Spanish and Hungarian (and problem others) accented letters get butchered. For example Könyvek when translated appears as Könyvek.

    What do I need to do to get it right?

    Read the docs related to i18n

    I suggest that you translate directly adding/editing entries in the language.php (it always works), or through custom.php (it may work, it didn't for me the last time I tried), or the web interface (in case it works, but for what you say, it might be buggy)

    Thanks, xavi. I'm afraid I'm not a programmer and don't know php. But can you give me an example of how and where I might do Könyvek so that I can 'copy' it for other words?

    Add your strings (texts) as if they belonged to the general translation to your language of the interface. When showing menus, tiki first looks at that file language.php to see if the string is translated.
