LDAP setting with multiple domains in a forest on Active Directory

Dear All,
I have Tikiwiki 8.3 running on a Windows 2008 server.
I have a AD with one root domain (domain.org) and three child domain (child1.domain.org, child2.domain.org, child3.domain.org). I have users on the every child domain.
How could I setup the LDAP on my tikiwiki to authenticate any users from any child domain ?

It's working when I setup LDAP on my tikiwiki only for one specific child domain and I can the user authenticated for this domain.
If I setup LDAP for the root domain, I cannot authenticate users on child domains....

Please let me know if is somebody have solution.

Hi bagnatod,

sadly I have no experience with LDAP, but would like to some day.

Generally, if you have all domains in one single Tiki instance (installation), from Tikis sside it should be enough to set the LDAP settings in Admin -> Login and maybe a certain custom entry for the cookie, if that would be required by LDAP.

I am sorry, that I cannot really help you, bur I recommend you to write into the user-mailinglist and into the developer-mailinglist for this specific problem, if you would not get help in the forum.

You would need some luck to find s.b. in the forum with some specific knowledge to LDAP.

Cross fingers, that s.b. of them sees your entry, but I am pretty shure, that you find s.b. in the mailing list.

Cheers
Torsten

Hi All,

I have Tikiwiki 8.1 installed on windows 2008 R2 server and my AD server is running windows 2003 server. i want to know how to setup single-sign-on on my Tikiwiki and windows servers so that user can access Tikiwiki without logon.

Kindly let me know if somebody have solutions.

Thanks in advance!

I've got this exact same issue, only difference is I've got 4 child domains. I can get users from the main domain to log in no problem, but am having trouble configuring LDAP to work with my child domains.

Works with domain.com users but not with
child1.domain.com
child2.domain.com
child3.domain.com
child4.domain.com

I've tried: dc=child1,dc=domain,dc=com and this does not work at all.

is there a solution to this? I'm not well versed in LDAP config, but I have a general grasp of it.

Thanks.
