Introduction to upgraders from earlier versions

as well as the page linking to the resources related with Upgrades

If this is your first installation ever of Tiki, welcome to Tiki Community! You'll find details about the installation here:

What's New

This is a security patch. There is no new functionality in this release.

Please see ReleaseNotes5.2 for new funtionality.

If you are upgrading from previous tiki versions, and you have never done this before, please follow once the 3 steps documented here:

Known Issues

There are several regression in Admin Users:

  • A CSRF confirmation is requested to see user details
    • Fixed for 5.4
  • The confirm button of the CSRF confirmation screen for user edition is broken, preventing users from being edited.
    • Fixed for 5.4
  • Batch upload / Users import is broken (nothing happens after confirmation)
    • Fixed for 5.4

A workaround for the last 2 issues is to disable "Protect against CSRF with a ticket" in the admin panel. Be aware that permanently disabling this preference opens security flaws.

False alert when saving some text areas

When saving an Article or a Tracker with a text area, Tiki may display a warning that you may lose data by leaving the page, when you click Save.

You can safely ignore this warning and click OK. Your edits will be saved.

This behavior will be corrected in Tiki 6.
