Aw: Tiki won't use my modified language file (1.9rc3).
First check if you don't set "store the translations in the database".
Second, which is the base language of your system, I think allready english and then you have to modify the templates, because in the templates are the english words, the base language and the language files are only used to translate to other languages than to your base language.
