I know my sites do quite well, but Ive a modified tikilib and I use a different set of Apache Rewrite rules. There are some SEFURL projects appearing on mods.tikiwiki.org to improve the look of things with Long URLs
but having said that, I was searching for PVR stuff as Im in the process of making one up for the lounge and the first couple of results were actually mcoopers tiki site! 
Meta information has started to appear in 1.9 as well.
