Error messages at top of pages

Added to the top of my pages (before the "This is Tiki v1.7.1.1" line) I am suddenly getting the 6 error messages below. I never got these before, so I'm wondering if I blew it with some setting I changed.

Please help!

Check the permissions on the templates/cache folder. This must be read/write by the user running the webserver.

Pat.

Pat,

I could not find a templates/cache folder, but there was a modules/cache folder. I applied read/write permissions to the Internet Guest account for the modules/cache folder, but that did not fix it yet. I also applied read/write permissions to the modules and templates folders for the Internet Guest account just in case. That did not solve the problem either.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for all your great suggestions!

Brian

Hi Brian,

Yes it was the modules/cache directory, sorry for that. You shouldn't need any very open permission on the modules and templates directory. Have you also checked the files under the modules/cache directory? Are they readable/writable (that is if there are any)?

Regards,

Pat.

Pat,

I found my permissions problem. It was not enough to set read/write permissions on the folder. I had to add them to the individual cache files themselves (Win2K/IIS). Now all is working!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks, Mose.

FYI: Please note that this fix does not work retroactively. In other words, while all new uploads now download fine, the files uploaded before this fax cannot be downloaded.
