This is in 1.9.x . I have never used the 1.8.x so I don't know if it is in that branch. It is at the very bottom of the /tiki-admin.php?page=fgal
This page has 5 sections: Home Gallery, Gallery Features, Gallery Listing Configuration, File gallery Comments Section, and File Galleries Search Indexing. There is no option for enable/disable these sections.
