Hi Brian;

There are a few parts to this idea.

Site wide notices

First part having the admin (or other person) get mail on all changes site wide. This is great but only allows some areas to be monitred. You will see which areas when you get there.

First thing you want to do is make sure you have an e-mail set up in the "general" setting page. get there by clicking admin (in main menu) then "general" on the main admin page.
When there you should also make sure the "Server name (for absolute URIs):" box is correct. Nothing to do with this question but it helps other things work.

Now head to the "EMail notifications" area. this is under the main menu "admin" - "EMail notifications".

Here you can set up who get notices on different areas. You may use the default admin (that we set up above) or add different addys.

OK, well that was for the overall changes to the site.

Specific Changes

Second, personal notice of changes. You can watch many more areas this way but you must go to the page and click the watch for it. This is nice as you could for example watch an entire forum or just one post in that forum.

Go to "user preferences" (in main menu) then "general preferences" and make sure your correct e-mail in in you profile.

Once that is done you can go around your site and click on the "watch" icon and you will the be notified when that item changes.

OK, great now that that is done and you have selected some pages or forums or what ever to watch you can see your choices in your user section. So click on the "mytiki" link in the main menu. When there you will find a "My watchs" link. It is the magnify glass. This will list your watchs and let you deleate them if you wish.

Good luck, James
