Blog issues

OK. I have been going a little crazy about blogs. cry

I have a couple of accounts on my setup - one admin and one user.
My user created a blog, disallowing others to post to it, and another user also has a blog.

Even though I have disallowed others to post to my blog, Tiki still lets them do it.

When I try to delete a blog post as admin, I get error messages:

Warning: is_dir() function.is-dir: Stat failed for /customersites/9/home/httpd/vhosts/tacticalwargames.net/httpdocs/wiki/templates_c/en-uk/%%41/413 (errno=13 - Permission denied) in /customersites/9/home/httpd/vhosts/tacticalwargames.net/httpdocs/wiki/lib/smarty/libs/internals/core.create_dir_structure.php on line 68

But, I am not permitted to chmod any folder inside the 'template_c' folder.

So, now I have a load of test posts that I cant delete, and my original blog is created by 'admin' instead of my user account, because I edited it, and now I cant do anything about that either.

And, while I am here, where can I change the blog post title colour?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry about that. Let's make it better.

Ok, I saw the other forum post. Do you think you could try to duplicate with Tiki 1.9.8?

Please get 1.9.8 here and log a bug if it's still broken:
http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker.php?trackerId=5

If the problem is still there, I will do my best to fix before 1.9.8 is released.

Ok. This is caused I think because of the use of en-uk. Try changing to en. This was fixed for 1.9.8

I don't know off hand. Let's fix the other stuff and get back to that later.

Is this now confirmed as a TikiWiki bug (looking through the other thread), and will it be addressed in the next release?

Does anyone know where this can be changed?

Thanks in advance.

Hi CyberShadow!

I had the same problem and solved it by editing the databasa in table "tiki_blogs". I changed the user to the name of my user account and got back access. May it help.

Hi. And thanks for the really fast response!

Ok, I saw the other forum post. Do you think you could try to duplicate with Tiki 1.9.8?

Please get 1.9.8 here and log a bug if it's still broken:

I dont think that I can. Duplicating the problem means logging in as an admin to add the blog feature and set it up, logging in as a regular user to start a blog and uncheck the 'allow other posts' box, and then logging in as another regular user to attempt to add a post to a 'disallowed' blog.

Ok. This is caused I think because of the use of en-uk. Try changing to en. This was fixed for 1.9.8

Genius. One problem solved. Actually, more than one, as I got this message at various points. Many thanks.

So, to recap:

- any user is able to post in any blog, even when 'disallowed'
- would like to change the blog post title

Thanks again.
