Best way to insert a social networking button

posts: 37 United States
I want to put a social networking button on my wiki so people can like it on facebook, twitter, etc. You can see what I've done already at the bottom of this page. Looks kind of tacky tho IMO. Is there a better way to just have one button that will expand and allow one to choose which networking site they want to post to?

Hi cornopean,

see this post for an approach using an IFRAME-tag:

I derived the following code from the example there:

Copy to clipboard
{IFRAME( name="fblike" title="fblikebutton" width="450" height="80" align="middle" scrolling="no" frameborder="0")} http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http://tiki.org&layout=standard&show_faces=true&width=450&action=like&font=arial&colorscheme=light&height=80{IFRAME}

Note that I added the parameter frameborder="0" by hand because the Wiki Plugin editor seems to ignore this parameter when changing it to "No" (that is, 0).

Regards,
– Dan
