Trackers, linking trackers and use part of the data only. (how to get rid of empty cell ?)

I have a tracker for machine.
Name:
Process:
Operator:
And more...
Not all those field contain data. There are machine without process and other machine with process but without operator.
I have another tracker for test that use data from the tracker machine
In this tracker i use item link and dynamic item list to select a machine then select the process.
With the first dropdown i select the machine and then in a second dropdown i choose the process... But then i have a lots of empty lines.
I wonder if there is a better method to do it ?
Or to avoid the empty lines (cells) to be displayed.
