pluginFile- visually attach file to wiki page?

Hi all,

https://doc.tiki.org/PluginFile says that "Since Tiki6.1, it allows easily selecting a file from a file gallery in a visual way, similarly to what can be achieved for images with the equivalent tool in the default toolbar. Moreover, it is included in the default toolbar shown in tiki textareas."

I'm running Tiki 15.1 and

  • it does not seem to be in the default toolbars- even when I 'Reset to defaults"
  • when I manually add it to a toolbar it does not have that 'visual' selection mode, it just pops up a dialog box for you to type into, with nothing to guide or validate your input.

Is there some setting I have missed to invoke the 'visual' behaviour?

Is there a better (more user-friendly) way of linking from a wiki page to a document stored in a file gallery?

Try using the Files (note the "s") plugin, instead. It allows you to visually select a file from the gallery (by clicking the Pick a File button in the dialog box):

Note, too, that Tiki 15.2LTS was recently released. You may want to upgrade.
