Tiki installation stopped working

Help, please :-)

Our tiki installation just went down and I could use a little help to get it working again.
I'm trying to think back to the last thing I did, but other than editing wiki pages and exporting tracker items, can't think of anything (a few days ago I activated elFile Gallery, but worked find for several days). Also was exporting language files, but can't see that as an issue.

I use cPanel for all changes (works fine now).

Site: kischenzi.com - a v.12.11 installation (a subdomain on this site running v.15.04 works fine).
here is the error message when I try to log on to the site:

Warning: require_once(lib/setup/third_party.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/kisch100/public_html/tiki-setup.php on line 31

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'lib/setup/third_party.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/kisch100/public_html/tiki-setup.php on line 31

Thanks,
Mike

I forwarded the message to the developers list to get some more eyeballs on it.

Thanks very much, guys.

For now, the best option probably would be to just upgrade to Tiki15 via Softaculous (since I can't log into the site to re-install). So yesterday I spent time on back-ups.

But today, I will think again, what it may have been that I did, as 99% of the time it's the user :-)

Mike

Ok, seem to have gotten the site going.

The error note mentions missing some missing third party program in the 'lib' files. But I could not even find the 'lib' files in this Tiki installation (thought they were 'hidden', checked, not hidden). So I copied / pasted all the 'lib' files from another Tiki12 installation and it started working.

I just don't recall deleting a whole folder - even if I accidentally did, a pop-up always asks if you want to delete (and, I also looked in the recycle bin yesterday, but nothing there.).

Good I still had the other Tiki12 installation (as most others are Tiki15).

br,
Mike

That's great you got it figgered out Mike, I have seen that error before in a couple of my test installations, I'll log this forum topic in my own personal database of memories to recall on if it happens again, I'll know a trouble shooting method as you described and give it a shot.

Hey Mike, I visited your website, thanks for sharing! So you are a farmer, the blood of the earth you are. Thanks for part in keeping our human race well fed!

Do you have plans on upgrading your site to 15 or 16?

Hi John,

yes, will definitely be upgrading to TW15 (this month hopefully), but still have to figure out why wiki templates for viewing tracker items are not working on my test site (another user gave me some more detailed advice in another post, but still testing to make it work).

Also, keep in mind the golden rule if something goes wrong (other than that last thing 'you' did) and aren't under immediate time constraints:
- always 'sleep on it', or at least take a break to clear your head.
so you don't do more damage :-)))

Sleep on it, is something I need to learn more of when it comes to admin'ng a Tiki site. I tend to jump and act, it's bitten me in the ass few times.
Hope to see your new TW15 soon!
