How can I add blank fluid grid sections?

Hi,

Plugin FluidGrid is really nice, it gives a lot flexibility and has a pretty fast learning curve. Nice to not have all content in Tiki in one column (or two with Plugin Split), without having to go to Plugin Div (which is almost html coding).

And, the instructions on http://doc.tiki.org/PluginFluidgrid are pretty good too. Just there is one piece of missing information from these instructions -

How can I add blank spaces to a Fluid Grid? Because if I just leave the section blank (Row or Column), than Fluid Grid reads the empty section as non-existent and moves content automatically.

For example if I use two Rows (R) and two Columns (C):

R1C1 (text) | R1C2 (blank)
R2C1 (text) | R2C2 (text)

since Row 1 Column 2 is blank, it treats all of Row 1 as only one column instead of leaving it in Row 1 Column 1 - for example, if you center the content, it move it to the center of the page, not the center of R1C1.

Sure, I could add a dot or some letter and color it white (or to the same background color) but that clearly is not the correct way.

The same also occurs for Columns - when I leave Column 1 blank (because I want some distance from the top of the Fluid Grid, e.g. buffer), than it automatically pushes all the content from Column 1 up to the top. In fact, this is completely incorrect as now the content is actually Column 1.

The 'Docs' page displays everything correctly because each section has some text in it e.g. A1, A2, etc. If I go to that Docs page and add another example with some blank sections than it will be immediately apparent wink

Edit: there doesn't seem to be a 'Keep Informed' field so will just add manually -
@Gary Cunningham-Lee as you created the Plugin FluidGrid Docs page
@Xavier de Pedro I see you also added a significant amount to this page

Thanks,
Mike

Partially solved for 'columns' - inconsistent documentation.

On the documentation page for Plugin Fluid Grid it lists the 'default' value for 'Join Columns?' as 'yes'

While in the GUI it does not list the default value:

The default value for this should be 'no' as that is more logical for new users who are just learning this plugin.

As far as 'Rows' there is not similar configuration. So far, I have only figured out how to add 'padding' to the top and bottom of a 'Plugin Fluid Grid' (so above the first line and below the last line) - put the whole Plugin Fluid Grid in a Plugin Div because Pluging Div respects spaces and the 'return' key.
